What's the difference between a static QR code and a dynamic QR code?

For Swell, static QR codes are generated for each of your events. You can change the color, the shape of the dots, or add your logo, but the bones of the code (what's behind it) won't change.

For example, this Donation Page QR code in the example below can never be made to go to another page. It will only go to the donation page for the original event. It can never be redirected to another site or page.

Use your static QR codes on event-specific materials like event programs, table cards, social media posts, napkins, or presentation slides.

These QR codes aren't for specific Swell events, but rather for ALL of your Swell events. You choose where you want them to go by selecting an event from the drop-down menu. 

Use your dynamic QR code on event-specific materials or more permanent items such as business cards, stationery, and yard signs.
