Reviewing Swell Financial Reports
To download your transaction report from Swell, click Transactions in the left-hand menu and then the download icon.
Columns E and F describe your product. Columns K through O tell you which person and/or table received credit for each transaction.
If you'd like to know whether a transaction was manually entered through the back of the site or was purchased through the front, look for a number in column AD. If a transaction doesn't show anything in this column, it means it was manually entered through the back of the software. If there's a number here, it came in through the front.
By the way, you can also tell if a transaction was manually entered by looking at the summary screen in the Transactions Tab. An x to the far right of the transaction means you can delete it. Since you can't delete online transactions (those that came in through the front of the site), the x also lets you know the transaction was manually entered.
Columns AG, AH, And AI tell you about pledging. You can turn on/off pledging for donations on the donation checkout page in your settings. If you don't have pledging turned on for this event, you won't see anything in those columns.
The last two columns in your report tell you when the transaction was created and updated. The times listed are in Universal Time. Need to convert it to your time zone? There's a formula for that.
Stripe Reports That Support the Reconciliation Process
To access your event reports in Stripe. Log in to your Stripe account and click Reports in the left-hand menu. Next, click "Payout Reconciliation".
Make sure to check the date range on the next page. The report defaults to the previous month and that may not be the information you need right now.
Once you've selected the date range you'd like to see, click the download button so you can work with the report in Excel.
Choose whether to view payouts, refunds, or both and which columns you'd like to see.
Tip: If this is a report you'd like to see on a weekly basis, you can have Stripe email it to you weekly, monthly, etc.
