Here is everything you need to check off your list before your virtual event goes live:
Set your livestream source type to match the place you are hosting your livestream (YouTube, Twitch, Livestream.com)
Insert your embed source key under Livestream source key.
Test or run through your event by checking Enable Virtual Module, scroll down and click Save Changes, and select Preview Livestream in the top right corner
Set up your chat admins. They will first need to be created as ticketed guests, and then you can search and select their name under Livestream chat admins
Select one leaderboard to be turned on for your event.
Check your Donation Page Settings.
IF you are only allowing ticketed guests to attend your event, you will want to check the box to Activate Ticket Gating and Make Login Required **You will not need to turn this on if you are allowing anyone to attend the virtual event**
Once you have gone through the list above, feel free to email Swell at support@swellfundraising.com to check over all of your Virtual Module settings!
When you're ready to make your event live to the public on your event day, check the box next to Make Livestream Live and Save. As a best practice, do this 15 minutes before your event's start time in case a few guests log in early.
After your event is over, you will want to turn off the livestream. Go to the Setup tab, click on Virtual Module, uncheck the box next to Make Livestream Live, and then click the Save Changes button at the bottom of that page.
If you would like visitors to view your presentation after the event, you can embed the video on your home page (or your preferred content page). All you have to do is grab the embed code from YouTube (or Vimeo) and follow these instructions.
Please reach out with any questions you have leading up to your event!
