Donation Page Settings

When someone clicks the Give Now button on your site, they're directed to your donation page. Here's what that looks like:

If you'd like to change that up a bit, you can do it in your donation page settings. You'll find them with your other settings under Setup and then Settings. To get started, choose Donation Page from the settings menu:

Remember to click the blue Save Changes button when you change any of your settings. You can make all of your changes before you save or save them one at a time.

The glossary below will explain how the individual settings work.

Glossary

Page title: The print in all caps at the top of your donation page.

Suggested amounts: Enter up to 6 preset amounts in this field. Donors will always be able to set their own amounts as well.

Enable anonymous donation: This allows donors to give without appearing on any Swell page or leaderboard. You will still be able to see anonymous donors in your Transactions screen or reports.

Enable recurring donations: Allows donors to give on a monthly basis through BluePay/CardConnect or Stripe.

Enable Pledging: Allows donors to complete their donation after the event.

Enable Honoring of Persons: Allow donors to type in the name of a person for honorariums or memorials. Note: Donors can become confused if you turn on both honoring of persons and gift crediting. As a best practice, choose only one of these.

These settings will be available to you if Honoring of Persons is turned on.

This is how those settings translate on the public-facing donation page:

Enable Gift Crediting: You may want this on if you're running a peer-to-peer or champion campaign. If you'll be turning on honorariums, leave this setting off.

Require Gift Crediting: Donation cannot be completed unless a fundraiser/team is selected from the drop-down.

Credit Person Title: This is the section title for the donation page.

Credit Person Subtitle: These instructions are just below the section title.

Credit Person Description: These instructions are just above the drop-down menu of your fundraisers.
