If someone sent you cash/check for tickets, tables, teams, or sponsorships, you will likely want to manually enter those offline transactions so they show up in your total.
Here's how to do that:
The only required fields on this form are first name, last name, type, and amount.
Note: The "first name" and "last name" fields here are open text boxes so you don't necessarily have to enter a real name here. For example, if you're entering a sponsorship for HomeTown Electric, it's perfectly acceptable to enter HomeTown as the first name and Electric as the last name.
To add a transaction:
1. Go to Transactions from the left-hand menu and select the plus button to add new
(This will open the transactions editor)
2. Choose a referral if you're using peer-to-peer fundraising
*This is the person who gets credit on the leaderboards.
3. Enter the first name and last name of the person giving this donation/making this purchase.
4. If there's a company name listed on the check, enter it here
5. Input the donor/purchaser's email
*This will allow you to email them a receipt
6. Enter a phone number in case you have questions later
7. Choose donation, ticket, table, or sponsorship from the drop-down so your reports be correct
*Remember to mark "table" if you are using the function for teams
8. Enter the amount of the donation/purchase here in the amount field.
9. If this donation is being made in honor/memory of someone fill the "in honor of" field
*This does not appear anywhere on the website. This is just for your records/data.
10. Is this donation/purchase anonymous? Indicate yes or no by checking the box
*Anonymous transactions won't show up anywhere on the front of your site, but you'll still be able to see them in the transactions section of your Swell dashboard.
11. Click SAVE to preserve your work
This process does not automatically send a receipt. If you would like to email a receipt find the transaction you just entered in your transactions list and click the envelope button in line with it.
See more in the "about the transactions" section.
**NOTE: Adding a transaction in the dashboard will NOT automatically create the product (ticket, table, team).
