1. What size should my custom slides (images) be?
The preferred size is 1980 x 1020 px
This is a standard presentation slide size in Canva and PowerPoint! P.S. Canva has wonderful templates!
2. Why would I blur my background image?
We recommend blurring your background if you are using photographs. This helps the text POP on the screen so it's easy to read.
3. What happens if I don't upload a background image?
The system will default to a black background with white text... And between me and you, it looks really great and clean! Sometimes less is more.
4. What backgrounds look the best?
We suggest choosing images/color schemes that tie into your event and organization brand. Maybe a slide image with your mission and logo across the bottom? We also LOVE to see photographs blurred as the background- just enough to give your show some depth and keep the eye interested.
5. What does 'Background Image Position' mean?
If you create a custom slide as a background that is not quite the right size, this allows you to choose the focal point. For example, if you created a background slide with your logo in the bottom right-hand corner and the image/slide is too big, your logo won't show UNLESS you choose "bottom-right" in settings.
6. What does the 'font-size' setting impact?
The "font size" will impact the text that pulls through for social media and text slides you create. The standard is "medium."
7. How do I upload a video?
Create a slide and choose 'Video' as the type. Then, upload the video to your slides event. Video slides automatically default to a 'manual' play setting meaning that they will not be included in a looping presentation (or auto-play setting). When you're ready to play the video, click it on the app.
